Reading Room (वाचनालय)
The Reading Room (वाचनालय) of Sakaldiha P. G. College is a part of the college library. So the maintenance of the reading room is the responsibility of the college librarian Shri Ajay Yadav. The reading room remains open throughout the college hour- 10 am to 4 pm. Five leading newspapers and some magazines are purchased for the benefit of students.
During leisure period students come in the reading room and either read the newspapers or their course books. Silence is maintained inside the reading room so that students can concentrate on their studies in the peaceful atmosphere. Computers are installed in the reading room for the benefit of students. The online reading materials like journals and books are made available to the students through computers. The reading room is named after the great educationist and former president Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. One peon always remains in the reading room to watch the activities of the students.
